YourMomCares #ymc works to ensure that all kids have access to quality health care, a safe place to sleep, meals on the table, and a strong education.
#ymc began in 2014 when the mothers of Jonah Hill, Adam Levine, and Alicia Keys came together to advocate for children in a public service announcement about access to health care. Today #ymc has turned into a powerful movement, uniting the mothers of influencers in the arts, pop culture, social media, sports, and sciences. Together our ability to mobilize and draw attention to various charities has immeasurable power to serve our country’s most needy children. In short, we are moms who care, just like so many of you.
#ymc’s inaugural effort focuses on children’s health care. To this end we are excited to be partnering with Children’s Health Fund to raise money for our very first #ymc-sponsored Health Mobile that will bring state of the art healthcare to America’s most under supported children. We believe that a child’s health and well being can lay the groundwork for success, and we are committed to doing our part in supporting all children.
Children’s Health Fund is committed to ensuring that America’s most disadvantaged children receive the highest quality health care. Through multiple platforms, the organization works to break down the barriers that have consistently kept sick children sick. Children’s Health Fund works to expand access to comprehensive primary care, reduce health barriers to learning, respond to the needs of children impacted by major public health crises and disasters, and improve the health and wellbeing of children through advocacy and public education efforts.
Children’s Health Fund was founded 30 years ago, when Singer/songwriter Paul Simon and Irwin Redlener, MD toured a shelter for homeless families in New York City. In response to the desperate conditions they witnessed, they launched the first “big blue bus” – a specially designed pediatric mobile clinic. Since that day, Children’s Health Fund and their network of clinics has served over 350,000 children.

#ymc is a volunteer-run organization. All donations will support our efforts in a boots-on-the-ground collaboration with Children’s Health Fund. As our movement continues to expand we’re eager to broaden our reach by working with other organizations in many cities across the country.
